PROJECT		Design of Orissa Public Sector Reform Phase II, Government of Orissa & DFID

ABOUT THE PROJECT		The Project involved analysing the progress in the disinvestments of Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) and formulating a programme to accelerate the disinvestments process. The tasks included setting up of a monitoring systems and key indicators to measure the progress in the reform process and the commitment of the government to the process.

TIME PERIOD		2 months

SERVICES		• Quantifiable milestones in terms of reduction of budgetary support and stopping losses were inbuilt into the process; • The existing VRS was redesigned to reduce time delays and accelerate the reforms; • A review of the Phase I activities and preparation of the logical framework for Phase II was done.
